Thursday Evening Social

Join us on Thursday evening at the Hershey Lodge for a fun, friendly and hilarious night designed to help you get to know your fellow beekeepers a little better. We’ll have dinner and a cash bar followed by interactive entertainment. This is your chance to relax, unwind and show your comedic side. With a little help from the professional comedian, you may be the star of the show. *Additional registration fee of $75/person is required.

Friday Morning Breakfast

Welcome to Pennsylvania!!  Dutch Gold Honey and Gamber Container, of Lancaster, PA, invite all ABF attendees to a buffet breakfast on Friday, January 11th from 7am-9am at the Hershey Lodge.

Sunday Beekeeping Field Trip

Interested in visiting a commercial bee farm (or two)? Curious to see how the “big guys” do it? We have just the opportunity for you. On Sunday, following the conference, we have organized a visit to Brushy Mountain Bee Farm and Hackenberg Apiaries (approx. 1-1/2 hours from the Hershey Lodge). From pollination to trucking to honey products, you’ll be able to see first-hand the magnitude of running a commercial business. Along the way, we will stop for a hearty, country-cooked meal at the Country Cupboard Restaurant. We anticipate a full day for this adventure (10:00 AM – 7:00 PM), so please plan accordingly. *Additional registration fee of $25/person (if you will be driving yourself) or $50/person (if you will be riding the bus) is required.
